Your ultra journey starts here: we’ve teamed up with The Lakeland 100, the Lake District Sky Trails team, Paul Tierney of Missing Link Coaching, Damian Hall, Beth Pacall, Sabria Verjee and Nic's Nordic Walks to create an immersive weekend of skills and training that will prepare you to tackle your next (or first!) ultra or mountain challenge with confidence. Expect two and a half packed days of running skills with expert coaches, opportunities to learn from world-class elite ultra runners, and evenings talking trails and swapping stories over a glass of wine or a pint. Spine Challenger, Dragon's Back Race, Cape Wrath Ultra, GL3D and other such races.

Paul Tierney: The Running Form Expert
Paul has been a top level sportsman most of his adult life. He started with international hurling for Ireland and moved into running soon after. He was the winner of the L100 in 2015 and has worked with some of the top movement coaches in the UK. He has been a 'Born to Run' Master Coach working directly with 'Barefoot Running' guru Lee Saxby. Paul set up Missing Link Coaching in the Lakes after his frustration with the many flaw's he saw in the fitness training industry. What Paul doesn't know about Running Form and Natural Movement isn't worth knowing!
Paul won the Lakeland 100 ultra-trail race in 2015 and is a former record holder for the Wicklow Way and is the current record for the Wainwright Round in the Lake District
Kim Collison: Navigation Coach, Bob Graham Expert and Running Guide
Kim operates as a running coach/guide under his business Kim Collison. He has set the record on the Arc of Attrition and had top 20 finishes on the 'world' skyrunning circuit racing against the worlds elite, this year.
Very comfortable in taking a podium spot in local fell races, Kim has also completed the Bob Graham Round in Summer (Sub 20) and Winter (Sub 21 - heavy snow) in very good times. He has also been part of the winning pair in the Marmot dark Mountains in 2013 and 2015, an overnight horror show mountain marathon based in the depths of winter.
Kim guides Bob Graham Rounds for Mountain Run and has had 4 successful rounds to date this year (2019) with Mountain Run clients.
Damian Hall - The Male Ultra Distance Expert.
Outdoor journalist and GB ultra-trail runner Damian Hall has finished on the podium at the Spine Race, Dragon’s Back Race (fifth overall), Lakes Sky Ultra in 2016 (finishing 6th) and the 2016 UK Ultra Trail Championships. In May 2016 the Inov-8 ambassador set a Fastest Known Time for the 630-mile South West Coast Path of 10 days, 15 hours and 18 minutes. He’s run a Bob Graham Round with Charlie from Mountain Run (in 21:57) and a Ramsay Round last year with him as well, the pair finished in 23:11 after a perfect on-sight attempt, he used both rounds as training for UTMB, the world’s most competitive 100 miler, where he placed 19th in 2016, 12th (and 1st UK Male) in 2017, and an incredible 5th in 2018. What Damian doesn't now know about ultra-trail running isn't worth knowing really! He seems to be quite good....
Damian recently won the Ice Ultra 2018 - 238km in the arctic circle and set the new record on the Paddy Buckle Round after an epic day out with Charlie on an on-sight attempt back in March 2019 (the pair finished in a time of 25:40).
Beth Pascall - The Female Ultra Distance Expert.
A junior paediatrician and GB ultra-trail runner. Beth has finished on the podium many times, with a highly impressive list of race results; 1st Place on The Spine 2015, 2nd place in the LSU 2015, 2nd place in the Dragon's Back 2015. 2016 saw her take course records on; The Spine Challenger, Highland Fling, Keswick Mountain Festival 50km, V3K and the Lakeland 100, 2017 she put in the 2nd fastest female time on the Paddy Buckley Round. 2018 saw here set a course record on the Peaks Skyline, finish 4th in the mighty UTMB against the worlds best female ultra runners and set an FKT for the Cape Wrath Trail with Damian Hall during December of that year. 2019 brought more wins wiht very impressive finishes at the Western States 100 [4th place] and another top 5 finish at the UTMB [5th place]
We think that Beth Pascall is the UK's most consistent and successful female ultra runner of the last decade.
